An integrated program provides one-stop access to counselling and work-life services and ensures that client issues are resolved from a whole health perspective, without fragmenting care between providers.

Organizational health strategies are guided by a belief in the interdependent relationship between organizational success and the health and effectiveness of employees. Employee effectiveness is in no small measure dependent on the balance achieved between individual, family, and workplace well-being. To help employees achieve this balance, we offer both Employee Assistance Programs and Work-Life Consultations.

Family Services Employee Assistance Program (FSEAP) has over 30 years experience providing employee and workplace counselling and consulting. Our approach integrates EAP and work-life to ensure timely resolution of concerns related to family care, legal and financial difficulties, health and career as well as related issues that require clinical counselling (for example stress, substance abuse and parenting).

In addition to the benefits of an integrated EAP/Work-Life program for employees and families, organizations benefit from the reduced costs and administration of a single vendor relationship.

Family Care Services:

Family Connexions Family Care Consultations
offer telephone consultations to address a full range of family care issues. Consultants are master's level counsellors who are able to provide information on local resources, referrals for related support services and counselling on issues of childcare and parenting, eldercare and caregiving, work-life balance and family relationships. Specialized resource kits are also available on a variety of topics related to family care and life transitions.

Other Consultations Services:

Financial Consultation Services provide employees with assistance to bring order to their personal finances including help with budgeting and dept management. Services are provided by qualified credit counsellors. An employee may request financial consultation directly or be referred by their EAP counsellor who is already seeing them for related concerns. Scheduled follow-up sessions help to monitor and maintain the employee’s progress.

legal connexions Legal Services offer telephone or face-to-face consultation with a practising lawyer. Legal services are available to answer questions about consumer law and protection, family law, traffic violations/traffic court, Wills and estate planning, employment law, real estate law and general legal issues. Referrals are offered for local legal services at a preferred rate.

Career Connexions career coaching services provide personalized consultations to help employees gain the focus and clarity needed to maximize their work performance. Clients choose one of four service options:

  1. Vocational and Personality Assessments
  2. Resume Writing and Interview Preparation Skills
  3. Career Planning - to develop a career action plan
  4. Career Revitalization – to revisit a client's career plan and refocus their career goals

Nutrition Consultation Services are available to help employees with issues of healthy eating and weight loss as well as clinical nutrition to manage illness (cancer, diabetes, etc.). Clients complete a pre-consultation health and habits questionnaire and three-day food record, followed by a one-hour telephone consultation with a registered dietician and follow up sessions to monitor progress.

Smoking Cessation Support is available to help employees who have committed to quit smoking. We provide support and where available make referrals to publicly available smoking cessation programs.

Additional Services:

Education sessions are available to inform and teach with topics such as eldercare, work-family balance, parenting, money management, Wills and estate planning, and stress and nutrition.

Targeted training is available to show managers ways to accommodate an ageing workforce, support employees with families, and develop cross-generational teams.
