Living WellSimple Rules: Living Well With StressThis series of sessions educates participants about the impact of stress on health and productivity and teaches effective strategies for managing stress. Participants develop a Personal Action Plan for living well with stress. The series is divided into seven separate one-hour modules, which may be delivered separately or in combination. Modules focus on:
Food for Thought: Stress and NutritionThis session builds significant understanding and awareness of the ways that food is often used as a stress reducer, which can result in overeating and weight gain. Suggestions are provided for alternative ways to deal with the emotional cravings. Note: this seminar is also a module in the Simple Rules: Living Well with Stress series. Managing Multiple Life DemandsThis seminar will help employees to identify destructive cycles that create stress, discontent and fatigue, and teach them how to use creative time management and prioritizing techniques to restore a sense of life balance. Well RestedSleep is part of a healthy, productive lifestyle and lack of sleep can result in conflicts, illness and accidents. This workshop explains concepts of sleep and suggests strategies for improved sleep and sleep safety including: drugs and alcohol; caffeine and nicotine; fitness and nutrition; balance and relaxation and; safe driving. Shift WorkThis specialized seminar is designed to help shift workers learn healthy ways to adapt to the unique lifestyle changes that a non-traditional work schedule requires. Life After Work: Retirement Lifestyle PlanningThis seminar examines the lifestyle changes associated with retirement including its effect on income, personal identity, circle of friends, leisure time and relationships and suggests strategies to ensure an active, healthy retirement. The Agony and the Ecstasy: Parenting TeensThis skill-building session focuses on the areas of communication, guidance and problem solving including "How to negotiate with adolescents" and "How to be in control without being controlling." Fretting Over FinancesThe more we worry about finances, the less control we feel and the more stressed we become. This session with address the emotional impact of financial difficulties to help participants regain control, to move from worry to concern, to be more assertive and to commit to a plan for action with the knowledge of what outside resources can be a support.
